LA FIESTA 2, MTN GERMANY'S OFFICIAL GRAFFITI JAM

Last weekend saw the second edition of La Fiesta, the festival produced by MTN Germany which, in its second year, brought together an outstanding selection of graffiti writers in the German city of Duisburg. Taube040 documented all with his pictures.

Fierce wildstyles, intricate lettering and a remarkable technical level defined the participants of La Fiesta. Renowned names known for their mastery of spray paint and letter design, such as Skore, Spuk and Aura, gathered on September 18th, 19th and 20th to paint, connect and share their passion with fellow artists.

The walls of the local Hall of Fame were soon covered with impressive pieces, where sharp wildstyles coexisted alongside highly detailed illustrated characters by artists such as Joker, Mad and Oreo, painted mainly using MTN 94. The result was a vibrant display of colour, creativity and skill that transformed the venue throughout the weekend.

As with any great graffiti jam, the event went far beyond painting. Once again, La Fiesta became a meeting point where artists from different backgrounds shared space, experiences and emotions, highlighting one of the most meaningful aspects of graffiti culture: a sense of community and brotherhood that transcends styles, languages and borders.

It has become a tradition for La Fiesta to provide a limited colour palette, challenging participants to adapt and push their creativity further. Rather than seeing it as a restriction, the writers embrace the rule as an opportunity to innovate. Alongside a selection of specially designed products and event-exclusive gadgets, attendees enjoyed the kind of thoughtful organisation and attention to detail that have become hallmarks of La Fiesta. All of these elements contribute to making the event a highly anticipated gathering within the graffiti community.
