Last Friday, July 18th, we celebrated our 20th Anniversary with all of the employees from the Barcelona factory. We were also accompanied by BELIN who produced a very special piece for us in homage to our employees from the packaging department who are an invaluable part of our handmade process.
We might not be on the same level as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory but it wasn't that bad was it?
The strong sun and heat which battered Barcelona on the 28th and 29th of June wasn't an excuse to not go ahead and represent for the fans of extreme sports at El Parc del Forum during the annual Extreme Festival.
The presence of Montana Colors was really noticeable during this year's edition, and the most striking activity was the graffiti exhibition by Tretze, Big Zeta, Saturno, Noble, Biz, Sawe and Japon who during two days filled a huge space by presenting a wide variety of styles and tastes.
Also The exhibition 'Art is Not a Crime' blew the public away with the quality and quantity of pieces over skate decks.
The workshop called 'The City as a Playground', supported by Difusor, also gained the attention of many participants of all ages. Even adult people showed their interest due to their curiosity and creative instincts.
And not to forget, our Montana Shop 'Pop-up Store' which filled the needs of many curious visitors by presenting our latest MTN products.
Definitely a extreme weekend full of emotion in the sunshine, and once again with Montana Colors to give it a touch of color.
In the early '90s, graffiti was considered, by all of the American and European spray paint companies, to merely be an act of vandalism. It was of no interest to any of the companies, because it wasn't yet considered to be profitable. At that time, the discovery of this passionate cultural revolution was what propelled the founders of Montana Colors to lay the groundwork for the creation of the first spray paint made especially for graffiti and, in that way, fill that hole in the market.
With this beginning, the lines to follow were clear: get to know the scene and support it from the very start. Thus, the main goal was set: to produce a specific spray to meet the demands of graffiti writers; something with high quality, a wide range of colors and, above all else, a very affordable price. With the passing of the years, our motto remains the same: support graffiti and respect each other and the environment.
Our actions are what differentiates us from the rest, and one of the defining values of Montana Colors is its independent character. This value, a difficult one to maintain and accept in this globalized world which we inhabit, has been achieved by our dedication to producing a unique and original product, manufactured following a traditional process which maintains the highest guarantee in the quality of its finish.
This fact has made Montana Colors, in its 18 years of independence, the leading international brand for spray paint made especially for graffiti. We don't simply dedicate ourselves to the market generated by graffiti, we also feel part of the movement; we grew with it. We are not a multinational company, nor are we machines; we are people with a great passion for what we do each day.
