The documentary Style Wars (Henry Chalfant and Tony Silver, 1983) is, and has always been, the single most important channel through which the message of the graffiti movement and Hip Hop culture has been communicated.
This is an audiovisual document, which has been passed along between people, from generation to generation, from the streets, platforms and tunnels of NYC to the rest of the world for three decades.
To make this even more eternal, we are releasing this new MTN Limited Edition can thanks to these two photos by Henry Chalfant. The legend never dies... Art is not a crime!

Time passes by relentlessly for all of us, with no exceptions. The fast type of society we live in today and the cities with their continuous activity has slowly put to the side a part of our population which since years are not able to participate in these intense ways of living. These are people who have to let things go in their last days before they say goodbye. We have taken for granted that this is how it should be, almost without noticing it, in oblivion.
Luckily enough there are people and associations like "Amics de la gent gran" (Friends of the elderly) which works against this sad destiny of our "forgotten older people", and, that for more than 25 years has been struggling against the loneliness and marginalization which more than 150.000 elderly people in Catalunya has to suffer. It is a unfair situation which they try to fight against daily through voluntary work and sensitization (accompaniment to their houses, conversations and being there for them socially…).
This is the organization we chose to send the benefits of between 21st of March and 31st of December, from the percentage off the sales of our solidarity product MTN "TNT”: 731, 35€.
Because no one deserves to be alone, and we all deserve affection.

In the early '90s, graffiti was considered, by all of the American and European spray paint companies, to merely be an act of vandalism. It was of no interest to any of the companies, because it wasn't yet considered to be profitable. At that time, the discovery of this passionate cultural revolution was what propelled the founders of Montana Colors to lay the groundwork for the creation of the first spray paint made especially for graffiti and, in that way, fill that hole in the market.
With this beginning, the lines to follow were clear: get to know the scene and support it from the very start. Thus, the main goal was set: to produce a specific spray to meet the demands of graffiti writers; something with high quality, a wide range of colors and, above all else, a very affordable price. With the passing of the years, our motto remains the same: support graffiti and respect each other and the environment.
Our actions are what differentiates us from the rest, and one of the defining values of Montana Colors is its independent character. This value, a difficult one to maintain and accept in this globalized world which we inhabit, has been achieved by our dedication to producing a unique and original product, manufactured following a traditional process which maintains the highest guarantee in the quality of its finish.
This fact has made Montana Colors, in its 18 years of independence, the leading international brand for spray paint made especially for graffiti. We don't simply dedicate ourselves to the market generated by graffiti, we also feel part of the movement; we grew with it. We are not a multinational company, nor are we machines; we are people with a great passion for what we do each day.
